The Project
Scolia is an innovative automatic scorekeeping solution for steel-tip darts. Besides scorekeeping, Scolia registers the location of each throw with millimetre accuracy to provide coordinate-based statistics to the players.
Used Technologies
For scalability, the server-side microservices are created in Node.js with TypeScript and NestJS framework, the client-side is written in React and deeply optimized for mobile phones and tablets.
How We Helped?
Our team and the customer are working jointly since the early stage of the project. Scolia and WebOrbit are developing the system together with both on the server and the client-side. An important factor that the client must be responsive, as the users usually use it from mobile and tablet devices and the whole system should be real-time for a smooth game experience.
Another important task of our own is to provide reliable cloud-based operations on the Google Cloud Platform. With GCP we can easily manage our game servers and services, and we can monitor the whole system in real-time.
